[Note] Sounds even better if you alternate the bass with your thumb on the E and A strings, bossa nova style.
[Verse 1]
Bm9
She was more like a beauty queen from a movie screen
N.C
I said don't mind but what do you mean
           Em9
I am the one
                            Bm9
Who will dance on the floor in the round
                   Em9
She said I am the one
                                   Bm9
Who will dance on the floor in the round
N.C
Then every head turned
                                    Em9
With eyes that dreamed of being the one
                            Bm9
Who will dance on the floor in the round

[Pre-chorus]
Em9 Bm9
People always told me: Be careful what you do
Em9 Bm9
Don't go around breaking young girl's hearts
    Em9 Bm9
And mother always told me: Be careful of who you love
   Gmaj7
Be careful of what you do

Bm9
Billie Jean is not my lover
N.C Em9
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
                       Bm9
But the kid is not my son
                  Em9
She says I am the one
                      Bm9
But the kid is not my son

[Verse 2]
Bm9
For forty days and forty nights the law was on her side
                                                       Em9
But who can stand when she's in demand her schemes and plans
                      Bm9
On the floor in the round
                     Em9
So take my strong advice
                               Bm9
Just remember to always think twice (Do think twice)

She told my baby best of three as she looked at me
                                                     Em9
And showed a photo of a baby cry, his eyes were like mine
                   Bm9
Danced on the floor in the round

[Pre-chorus]

Don't go around breaking young girl's hearts
    Em9 Bm9

That happened much too soon
