DBmGD I'm so weary from holding this load,
DF#mGD but it's only love for you, that I walk this lonely road
GF#GD I must follow the wind, follow the wind,
DAD and the wind will take me home before the cold.

DBmGD Every star I have counted, each flower I have seen,
DF#mGD but the place I am going there is no grass as green.
GF#GD I must follow the wind, follow the wind,
DAD and the wind will take me home where I can dream.

FCGC In the hour I am lonely your love will be mine,
FCEA I will stay in your arms, dear, until comes the time.

DBmGD I must be on my way, for my home is anywhere,
DF#mGD I have no time to stay, I have no time to care.
GF#GD I must follow the wind, follow the wind,
DAD as the wind gently blows in my hair.
