DF#m When I was small, and Christmas trees were tall,
GDA We used to love while others used to play.
DF#m Don't ask me why, but time has passed us by,
GDA Someone else moved in from far away.
GD Now we are tall, and Christmas trees are small,
EmDD7 And you don't ask the time of day.
GD But you and I, our love will never die,
EmGDA But guess we'll cry come first of may.
DF#m The apple tree that grew for you and me,
GDA I watched the apples falling one by one.
DF#m And I recall the moment of them all,
GDA The day I kissed your cheek and you were mine.
GD Now we are tall, and Christmas trees are small,
EmDD7 And you don't ask the time of day.
GD But you and I, our love will never die,
EmGD But guess we'll cry come first of may.
DF#m When I was small, and Christmas trees were tall,
GDA Do do do do do do do do do...
DF#m Don't ask me why, but time has passed us by,
GDA Some one else moved in from far away.
